Support Roanoke's Starbucks Workers
Donation protected
The Starbucks workers at the Bridges store in Roanoke have come together to form a union and to be part of the national movement of Starbucks partners seeking a true voice within the company. The company is now cutting the workers' hours, causing financial hardship. This GoFundMe page is a fund for mutual aid for the workers to pay for necessities.
As a long time member of a union and supporter of workers' right to a voice in the workplace, I know how important the support of the community is during the campaign to organize. The workers have selected a fellow worker to withdraw the funds and distribute according to their agreed upon criteria. The funds will be spent by the workers to pay for basic necessities such as food, rent and car expenses.
