As camera shy as she is, I can't get my hands on a new picture of her, so I used an old photo and hope she will forgive me some day.

A bit of history.

A few years ago, Roanna dropped everything to move to Pennsylvania and help her daughter and son-in-law care for their child (Roanna's granddaughter), as they depended on two incomes. In doing so, Roanna went without income herself and nearly depleted her savings.

Recently, Roanna moved back to California and started work again to build up her savings, but started to struggle with abdominal pains and excessive, unexpected bleeding. In their effort to find out the cause of her issues, doctors found a mass in her abdomen. Tests, including blood tests and a biopsy, revealed a malignant tumor. Roanna has had to take leave from work to address these medical issues.

We are still gathering information, but medical bills from emergency rooms are already overwhelming.
