Support RJ and Mason After Jason's Passing
Donation protected
My big brother Jason passed suddenly and unexpectedly on August 13, 2025. He leaves behind two young sons — RJ (14) and Mason (13). Jason was a constant in his boys’ lives, offering emotional guidance, financial support, and everyday encouragement.
Though Jason and his former spouse, Michaelyn, divorced, they remained fully committed to raising their boys together. Their friendship and dedication as parents never wavered. They met 23 years ago while serving in the military, became best friends, brothers in arms, and later parents with the birth of their first son, RJ, in 2010, followed by Mason in 2012.
They supported each other through military service, combat deployments, and the challenges that followed as they transitioned to civilian life. Though their marriage ultimately ended, their connection, love for one another, and devotion to their boys remained unbroken.
RJ is a gifted young artist with aspirations in digital art and 3D animation, while Mason, who loved training with his dad, is considering a future in personal fitness. Both are entering some of the most formative years of their lives — years when the support of a father is irreplaceable.
Michaelyn, who is medically retired and living on a fixed income, is determined to continue providing stability and opportunity for the boys, honoring the promise she and Jason made to always put their sons first. She is also mourning the loss of her kindred spirit in Jason.
This is the most difficult time for a child to lose a parent — early adolescence, when they are just beginning to find their way in the world. Any support, whether financial or emotional, will mean more than words can say. All funds raised will go directly to support RJ and Mason, helping them through their teenage years and supporting their dreams of higher education and career development.
Thank you for keeping Jason’s memory alive by standing beside his boys in their time of need.
