Riverside Drive-in Improvements

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to thank everybody that helped us to stay open for the 2026 season . We are never out of the woods. Us at the drive in hope this doesnt happen again this season. We have made some improvements for this season, but there are many more that we would like to do. Thats why we are going to still be taking donations as usual. The snack bar is our main source of income for the drivein, that helps with everything. Bring family and friends to the drive in this 2026 season and eat in the snack bar.

OPENING DAY IS THUR APRIL 2ND
First movie......the NEW Mario movie
Second movie....TBD

My name is Chris and I work at the Riverside Drive-in outside of Leechburg, PA. I've known the owners, Todd and Emma, for over 10 years. The drive-in first opened in 1948. It has opened and closed a couple of times. The current owners took over in 2005. The biggest improvement to the drive-in back then was getting the digital projector. The projection room had to be updated for the new machine. Now, since time has passed, the drive-in needs to be updated in a big way. The ticket booth needs to be rebuilt. The outside of the snack bar needs to be fixed up and given a fresh coat of paint. It needs proper drainage behind the snack bar. The biggest improvement and the most expensive is that the drive-in needs A/C in the snack bar. The snack bar can get very hot in there with all the food being cooked and how warm it is outside. Since the snack bar is built with concrete blocks, it turns into a giant oven inside. There are also other projects that need to be done. So you're thinking, why can't the drive-in pay for all the projects themselves? I'll tell you. The drive-in only has one screen. We show two movies a night on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The drive-in holds a max of 300 cars. It comes down to what movies we are showing and the weather. The drive-in doesn't make a lot of money on ticket sales, so they rely on the sales in the snack bar. They have their good and bad days at the drive-in. As months and years pass by, there are fewer and fewer drive-ins around in this great country. So help me preserve this pastime by giving a donation to the Riverside Drive-in. So we can fix the place and for it to be here many years down the road.
