My name is Elnora Thompson, and an unfortunate situation occurred to a very dear friend and his 8-year-old daughter, over this last weekend. While the father was working as an over-the-road truck driver, his daughter was out of school for Christmas break and wanted to spend time with her daddy. Against his first thoughts of not taking her with him, she had asked to go, and he decided to bring her along. Unfortunately, while crossing through Texas, they were involved in a horrible accident, which took the life of River Rhoads, the 8-year-old little girl. At this time, the family does not have additional life insurance or medical insurance. The family has no funds to be able to transfer their child back to Missouri, allowing them to properly bury their child. River leaves behind, a father, mother, and younger sister. The father sustained non-life-threatening injuries but was kept in the hospital overnight. His wages are the family's only income. Unfortunately, they are without an income during this time and will need additional support during this time. River's funeral will be held at Holman Howe in Lebanon MO. 65536.
