This Lent, I am working to raise money for 2 great causes, Rita's Legacy of Hope, and Castlerigg Manor.

Rita’s Legacy of Hope is a charity that aims to improve the services of babies and children with life-limiting conditions.

The Charity was set up in the memory of Rita Grace, who had Trisomy-18.

Money fundraised from the Big Lent Fundraiser will go towards funding portable incubators (which are a new thing) for Glasgow children’s hospital NICU, which allow privacy and proximity for families whose babies are receiving palliative care.

Castlerigg Manor is the Youth Retreat Centre for Lancaster Diocese, who’s mission is to bring young people into knowing God and helping them grow in their faith, focussing on reminding them of how loved they are by God.

Castlerigg Manor has a residential youth team, including volunteers, who work to provide retreats, outreach, and other residential work for both those within and also outside of the Diocese.

Money from the Big Lent Fundraiser will support this mission, as well as the team in their work, formation, and community.
