I am facing surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Downey for Stage 1 Cervical Cancer. The surgery will be Friday April 17th. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down, and while we are grateful it was caught early, the road ahead is daunting. The emotional and physical toll is significant, but the financial burden is just as overwhelming. I will be on a Medical Leave of Absence for about two months from my part-time teaching job at St. Cyprian Parish School in Long Beach and my job at Disney California Adventure. During this time, our household income will depend solely on my husband, who works as a Security Guard, and will be my caretaker for the first two weeks of my recovery period. The funds raised will help us pay off mounting medical bills and cover our living expenses while I recover. We have always managed to provide for our little family of two and our beloved dogs, saving for small luxuries and dreaming of one day owning our own home. Unfortunately, this surgery and the associated costs will wipe out our retirement savings and put our future plans on hold. It is incredibly hard for us to ask for help, as we have always taken pride in our independence. But now, we find ourselves in a position where we must humbly reach out to our community for support. Your generosity—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing our story—will make a world of difference as we navigate this challenging time. Thank you for considering helping us as we lean into our Faith and hope for a healthy future.
If you are so inclined please pray a Rosary or Divine Mercy Chaplet for us. Thank you.
