Rita Escue has been a part of my life and our community for a long time. She is a truly wonderful person who has always gone out of her way to help others, especially women who have experienced trauma. Her kindness, strength, and dedication have touched so many lives, and she has always been there for those in need.

Right now, Rita is facing the most desperate situation of her life. She is stranded in Europe because unscrupulous people are taking what she worked for. These individuals have the money and means to do it, and they have left her without a place to live, completely out of money, and having lost everything. Despite her hard work and the difference she’s made for so many, she’s now far from home, in real trouble, and in urgent need of support. Rita is not someone who would ever ask for help unless she truly had no other options.

The funds raised here will help Rita in several ways. They could help her return to the US and set up a new home, or support her if she decides to try again in Europe. She may also need money for legal fees, and most importantly, she needs the chance to take some time off to regroup and figure out her next steps.
