In March 2025, four months after her wedding and one month before her 29th birthday, Riss was diagnosed with aggressive triple-negative breast cancer, a rare and fast-growing form that disproportionately affects younger women. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation, facing every step with courage, humor, and resilience.

This fundraiser is a way for friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers to support Riss in her fight and help ease the financial stress that comes with treatment, recovery, and daily life.
