This gofundme is being raised on behalf of Rebecca and Ripley to help with the vet costs.

Ripley is 2 years old and has overcome many obstacles. She was adopted from the Midwest when her and her liter mates were found filed together in a crate left outside overnight at just 10 weeks old. She was brought to New England and given a second chance at life. Ripley was heart worm positive and survived the treatment at a young age. She has learned to love and trust people and other dogs. She is a happy dog that loves playing in the back yard with her brother Poe, enjoys a ride in the car to get pup cups, and long walks around her neighborhood. She is a loving dog with so much more love to give everyone around her.

Becca's relationship with Ripley is one of support and unconditional love. Becca works from home and needed a friend. When Becca learned about her story and saw her posted, she knew that Ripley was the dog for her. The next day, she drove to the rescue in Cape Cod to get her. Becca has been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, and depression and is in lifelong treatment. This dog has changed her life in ways she could have never expected. Ripley helped Becca be able to move out more, developed a sense of playfulness and most importantly, a sense of independence she has never had. She welcomed love and affection, and Ripley helped break down her walls to become a better person. In many ways, this dog has saved Becca's life and she will do everything in her power to save hers.

On February 1st 2026, Ripley went into anaphylactic shock with no known origin. She was rushed to Newtown Veterinary Specalist, admitted to the ICU, and was treated for vomiting, lethargy, unresponsiveness, and hives covering her entire body. We were then notified that her gallbladder and liver were impacted by the anaphylaxis. She stayed the night and was released the following day under the agreement that we would have her bloodwork done with our primary veterinarian. This is the second time that we had a scare with Ripley and was severe enough that she needed immediate hospitalization. Now she will need to see a specalist and undergo tests to avoid this happening in the future.

Any donated costs will go directly to her medical treatment which will include the initial hospital bill, bloodwork, and the cost of the specalists to reach a treatment plan and maintenance to avoid this occurring again.
