Rio will be having stent heart surgery on June 3rd. His first surgery in January 2024, a balloon valvuloplasty, failed and his Patent Ductus Arteriosus (“PDA”) is now severe again. Without surgery his cardiologist said his life expectancy is 3-5 years, he will die of heart failure. My hope is he is able to live a normal life; filled with all the little things that make loving and being loved by a dog the most wonderful thing ever. It’s a huge amount of money and I don’t take it lightly, I promise he is worth every single penny. We’re so appreciative of how much support and love everyone gives our family.
