UPDATE:

DENIED benefits and entered APPEALS process. Possibly another year of this.

Almost two years unemployed and over a year of disability benefits application process.

This is one of the most difficult things I have had to do. The shame and humiliation are physically painful to me, but I have to do it. I need help really badly right now and I hope you can be there for me.

I am Rio. I was born with a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition that negatively affects my ability to do life. I didn’t even know I had it until a few years ago when a doctor told me during an evaluation for ADHD, which, by the way, I also have. In the past year, it has become very debilitating and makes it impossible for me to do simple tasks, chores, and even socialize very well. I can’t work anymore and that’s why earlier this year I applied for disability with Social Security.

In February 2025, I applied for disability and on January 2026, I have a medical evaluation. I have not been able to work since April 2024 and I have now exhausted all of my savings and investments. My executive dysfunction is in full swing and I am stuck like a beached whale.

Please help me if you can.

Update:

Thanks to all who donated and/or shared I was able to catch up on November and most of December. It all went to paying bills and groceries. I didn’t spend any money on anything else.
