The Rio Rancho Pop Warner 12U Spartans football team had an outstanding season, finishing with a remarkable 7-1 record. Their dedication and hard work, guided by the expertise of Coach Nate Davis, Coach Byron Cooper, and Coach Josiah Hunter, led them to clinch the State Championship title. The team continued their winning streak by triumphing in the first round of the Southwest quarterfinals of regionals against the Garland, TX Bulldogs. From there they traveled to Dallas, TX, winning against Westlake, TX Chaps. The Spartans took on the title of SW Regional champions after traveling back to back weekends and coming out victorious in Austin, TX against the Weld County, CO Bears. Now in a short three weeks, they will be heading to Orlando, FL December 7-14 for nationals. This is the first time a Rio Rancho, New Mexico team has made it this far in four years, and the Spartans are determined to showcase their talent and bring home more victories.

The Rio Rancho 12U Spartans are currently fundraising and accepting donations to help cover travel expenses for their upcoming competition. Your support can really help make their journey possible. They have launched a GoFundMe page and are urgently trying to raise funds. Any amount, no matter how big or small, is appreciated and the Spartans are deeply grateful for any contribution and support from our local community and businesses.
