Hello, my name is Rhonda Wheatle from Cypress , Texas. On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa came through Jamaica as a Category 5 hurricane. It was catastrophic for the entire island and left many without homes, food, electricity, water, businesses, healthcare, vehicles, and their overall livelihoods.

This GoFundMe will be used for my hometown of Rio Bueno, Trelawny. Rio Bueno is a tight-knit community that takes care of each other. Therefore, my family and I want to assist with this disaster recovery as much as possible because many people in Rio Bueno have had damaged or lost homes and businesses. I will be using this donation to help various people in my community which includes close relatives, family, friends , many neighbors , their children and the elderly.

The whole community is currently without food, running water, electricity, internet, and basic necessities.

This GoFundMe is to help the people of Rio Bueno, Trelawny, to survive and recover as they face an uphill battle in taking care of themselves.

Some of this donation will be sent via wire transfer for immediate help and the rest will be use to pack barrels with food , over the counter medicines and emergency supplies to ship back home.
