Hi, my name is Andrea, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of the Wunderlich family.
Riley was in a serious dirt bike accident on Saturday, November 15th.
Riley was in and out of consciousness at the scene. At the time, it was suspected that the injuries he sustained and the pain he was in were causing him to pass in and out of consciousness. At the scene, it was undetermined if Life Link was needed, but they were dispatched and went to Alomere Health in Alexandria to be on standby. Riley was taken to Alomere Health by ambulance. The first initial scans and tests were performed there, and it was later determined that Riley needed to go to a Trauma Center and was Life Linked to the closest hospital. The injuries he sustained that determined the need for Life Link were sheer brain injuries. We are thankful he was wearing his helmet and that God was and still is watching over him.
Riley is in ICU in St. Cloud hospital. He is in critical condition and is stable at this time. We have a very strong young man who is fighting. He is intubated and heavily sedated. They are continuing to monitor and assess the injuries he sustained during his accident. Riley also has a fractured clavicle on the right side. His left hip was dislocated and is one of the most painful dislocations a person can experience. Thankfully, he is young and healthy, so while he was in the ER in Alexandria, they were able to reduce/relocate his hip with no apparent fractures or damage to the vessels. This will continue to be monitored during his recovery. The medical team is still working through other injuries he sustained and monitoring the source of these injuries at this time.
Please continue to pray for Riley. He is strong, he is a fighter, and we love him so much!
Let’s rally around Riley and this amazing family to raise funds to help ease the financial burden on their family during this time. Above all else, keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
