Lane and Sheriden Carter recently received devastating news that their middle child, Riley, has been diagnosed with a rare, terminal genetic disorder called Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD). Doctors explained that her life expectancy is around 13 years. Often described as “Alzheimer’s in children,” this condition will eventually cause Riley to lose her ability to walk and talk.
Sheriden and Lane are both servants at heart, always looking for opportunities to help others. Sheriden formerly worked in full-time ministry, and Lane currently serves on the Celina Fire Department. Their church home is Renewal City Church in Celina.
The Carters know that their hope comes from Christ alone and are leaning on Him for strength. Please keep their family in your prayers, and pray for a miracle for sweet Riley.
As the Celina Fire Department shared on Facebook earlier today, “Riley is a bright, gentle light. She is laughter and little footsteps, and she is the heartbeat of a home that is ours to protect. Today, she belongs to all of us.”
This precious family will face significant medical bills and potential travel expenses if Riley qualifies for future clinical trials. Please consider donating to help support them during this difficult journey. Thank you in advance, for your generosity and prayers.❤️
