Support Riley Mae's Urgent Medical Needs

Dear Friends and Family,

This is extremely hard for me to do as I try very hard not to ask anyone for anything. I tend to be the one that tries to help others but desperate times come for desperate measures. A dog is a man’s best friend. This dog has drug me through some of the toughest times in my life. She’s become part of my family. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart because my beloved dog, Riley Mae has been unbelievably sick. This has come as a huge shock, and we’re doing everything we can to help her get the treatment and care she deserves.

Normally I’d work endlessly until I reached the goal needed but in this instance we are working on a time sensitive matter that doesn’t allow me the time needed to figure this out on my own.

The doctors have recommended some essential tests and treatments that are vital to Riley Mae's recovery. Unfortunately, these tests come with a hefty price tag that only Auburn university, or Mississippi State can perform. She has spent 14 days at Hueytown Animal Hospital where they have done an incredible job taking care of her/ trying diligently to give me answers of what’s causing Riley so much discomfort. Unfortunately she needs test they can only perform at the University. We are struggling to meet the financial burden. As you can imagine, this is an incredibly stressful time for us, and we're doing everything we can to stay hopeful.

Riley is in need of a CT scan to get a better picture of the growth on her neck that is surrounding her arteries and trachea making it difficult for her to breathe. She is also needing a test done to confirm or deny the existence of a rare infection that may be the cause of this illness.
