Hi everyone,

As many of you know, this has been a very difficult pregnancy, and as of this week I’ve been experiencing consistent contractions — meaning our baby could arrive at any moment. My induction date is scheduled for December 7th, but it’s looking like he may come sooner.

This past week, we were also hit with an unexpected and heartbreaking situation. Our young tenant, who was renting our home, passed away suddenly and tragically on Saturday. Our hearts are with his family, and we do not want them to face any additional financial burden during such an unimaginable loss. Because of the sensitivity of this situation we are trying to work with next of kin and scrambling to get it re-rented at this time, while also being in and out of the hospital.

This leaves us responsible for both our own rent and the rent for our house he was renting, all due by next week — right as we prepare for the arrival of our son. We also have lots of hospital bills from my 9 months of pregnancy that have deadlines by the time of baby’s birth. It’s a financial hardship we never anticipated, especially in the final days before giving birth.

If you have a little extra to give this season, we would be incredibly grateful for any support. Truly, anything helps. We are committed to paying this kindness forward in the future, just as soon as we’re able.
