Support Riley Harper's Gender-Affirming Surgery

Hi my lovelies! <3
My name is Riley Harper and I am asking for help to crowdsource funds for my gender-affirming care and to be more specific, for top surgery. I am a trans-feminine person who's been on HRT and undergoing social transition since July of 2019. It would mean the world to me to have help and support with this goal of mine and to help get me the care I need. I have been seen by a therapist and they have also recommended that I receive this next gender-affirming care goal to help improve my quality of life.
I have already had a consultation with a surgeon and decided on Dr. Lee at Sandeen and Lee here in Tucson, AZ. I also had a chance to call my private insurance that I have through my employment, and I have been told that I should at least have partial coverage for this surgery, but I am still awaiting prior authorization to find out to what extent. My decision has been to keep my surgery fairly conservative and minimal both for my body and for the overall outlook for costs as well.
To be transparent, this is not my first GoFundMe (it's my 2nd). My first one helped me get funding for my hormones, needles, bandages, doctor's visits, and any other associated items and costs due to having no healthcare coverage at that time. However, this 2nd one is to help me cover any costs that my private insurance provider won't cover as well as any associated costs with healing and aftercare afterwards.
Times are really weird and rough right now for a lot of trans people in this country and I often have felt ever since the beginning of my transition that this goal probably wouldn't be attainable due to a lived history of houselessness and lack of familial support. With the newest administration's commitment to attacking gender-affirming care for the trans community, things feel very uncertain for my community and family like me.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and supporting my campaign, and I will update all details regarding my surgery timeline and costs as those come up. It's been really hard existing as a trans person in the US with our lives, access to care, rights, and lived experiences being called into question at every step and on the national stage, but I still very much believe that most people are supportive and understanding. Thank you for helping prove that to be true and I absolutely wish the best for you and your loved ones and hope that life is gentle on you. <3
