As many of you know Rikki was just diagnosed with a life threatening liver shunt, it's a birth defect that will take his life in months without surgery. Even though he's had it since birth it's just now produced horrible symptoms which led to the diagnosis. He will have a CT scan on Monday morning to determine how extensive of surgery he needs. The estimate is between 6,000 and 8,000. His surgeon believes it should be operable. His medical bills thus far have been 3,000 with another 2,500 to 3,000 coming on Monday for the CT scan. I do not like asking for help, but Rikki and I could certainly use a bit, this was unexpected and sudden. If you can help us I promise to pay it forward in the future. I never dreamed he'd have a life threatening birth defect. I adopted him and immediately fell in love with him and his mischievous ways.
