Support Riddle's Fight Against Brain Tumor

This page has been created to support Dania and Allen Zareathain and their amazing 5-year-old daughter, Riddle, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor of the pineal gland on February 20th, 2025. It's time to surround this wonderful family with all of the love and support this community can provide as they embark on a journey fighting for a cure of this tumor that has upended their lives.

Sweet Riddle has already undergone surgery on 2/21/25 to relieve the pressure that was being caused in her brain as the tumor was blocking the draining of cerebrospinal fluid, causing headaches, vomiting, and drowsiness. A sample of her cerebrospinal fluid and a biopsy were obtained during that surgery in order to determine the exact nature of her tumor and help guide her excellent team at Seattle Children's Hospital. Treatment for pediatric brain tumors of the pineal gland usually involves radiation treatment, possibly chemotherapy, and possibly further surgery to remove the tumor.

Any amount of support that can be provided is appreciated to make this long road ahead just a little bit less stressful. With your support, we hope that Dania and Allen can spend more time focusing on Riddle and less time on unexpected medical costs. (Their annual max out-of-pocket costs with their insurance plan is $18,000.) Funds will also be used to help cover the costs of lost income due to anticipated extended time off work for Dania and Allen.
