This is being set up by a friend in support of Rico Perry, an artist living in Buffalo, NY, on his healing journey. The past few years have been eventful for Rico, to say the least. Between surviving cancer, battling a landlord, the loss of loved ones; things have been hard, but Rico has kept his stride working to get back onto his feet, despite it all. Over the past few months, Rico felt a break in his luck, feeling as though things were finally making a turn for better.
However, the past couple of weeks have been derailing in those efforts. Someone within his apartment complex stole his electric bike, which he used for work. He tried reaching out to his landlord, who ignored, and fought the accusations to help. This resulted in any form of video evidence that could have helped Rico locate his e-bike being recorded over. The BPD has also been lackluster in their efforts.
Not long after that incident, he was hit by a car, breaking his foot in three places. He is unable to work for the next 3 months, and should he need surgery, the heal time could take upwards of 6+ months. Being out of work for that long makes survival arduous.
Rico is seeking assistance with living expenses during the time it takes for him to heal over the next 6 months.
