Support Ricky’s Fight With Prostate Cancer

My name is Ricky, and I’m facing a tough battle with metastatic prostate cancer. My journey started with severe back pain and problems with my bladder and bowels. After some tests, my PSA was found to be extremely high, and a CT scan revealed the cancer had already spread to my lower spine and bones. Since then, life has changed dramatically. I’ve lost 18 pounds in just a month, and my bones have become so weak that I even broke a rib while working. I’m exhausted most days and can’t keep up with my usual work of cutting trees, lawn care, and hauling scrap. I’ve had to miss regular jobs because my body just can’t handle it right now.
The costs are overwhelming. I need help with daily living expenses, travel for treatments, car maintenance, and even some over-the-counter medications. Some of my prescriptions aren’t covered, and the cost of medications and travel adds up quickly. Next week, I’ll have a PET scan to see how far the cancer has spread, and I’ll be traveling for radiation and therapy. My friend Candy Holland has been a huge help, making sure I get to my appointments and pushing me to see a doctor in the first place. My sister Margaret has been providing gas, water, meds, and emotional support, while my sister Steph is unable to help due to her own situation. My community tries to help with jobs when I’m able, but I just can’t work like I used to.
I would be grateful to anyone who could help me on my journey. You all mean the world to me. If I could ever return the help, I would. All prayers are always appreciated. “God will Provide.” Amen.
