From the Streets to the Chair – Now It’s Time to Give Back!

Hey everyone, my name is Ricky Rich, and my journey in barbering & braiding has been about more than just cutting hair—it’s been about changing lives, including my own.

I moved from Puerto Rico to the U.S. in 2019 to rebuild my life, leaving behind bad habits and searching for a fresh start. In 2020, I enrolled in cosmetology school while working three jobs to support myself. By 2021, I became a barber, but the journey wasn’t easy.

I started working at my first barbershop, but after just four months, we got evicted. That’s when I found Twin Cutz in August 2021, where I was finally able to expand my business and grow my name in the industry.

In 2022, I started working with Pure O Natural Products, a leading braiding company, which allowed me to travel across the U.S., perfect my craft, and teach others. By 2024, I was ready to give back and hosted my first Barber Battle event on February 18, 2024.

But that event came at a cost. I lost $17,000—all my savings. It was a huge setback. I even lost my apartment.

Still, I refused to quit. In October 2024, I became an educator for Barber Academy by Sean Casey in Fort Myers, FL, dedicating myself to rebuilding everything I lost.

And now, one year later, on February 17, 2025, I was able to buy a bus to turn into the RickyRich Barber School Bus—a mobile barbershop & training center that will bring education and top-tier grooming services to communities everywhere.

But I need your support to bring this dream to life.

What is the Barber School Bus?

Not everyone has access to quality barber & beauty education, and many aspiring professionals don’t have the resources to attend traditional schools. This project will change that by transforming a 2007 Pilgrim school bus into a fully functional barbershop, salon, and training center on wheels!

This mobile space will serve two powerful purposes:

• Providing professional haircuts, braiding, and styling services on the go

• Bringing luxury grooming to underserved communities and special events

• Offering a unique experience where clients can get styled in a one-of-a-kind mobile space

A Barber & Braiding Training Center

• Teaching hands-on braiding & barbering skills to aspiring professionals

• Providing affordable training for beginners and youth interested in the industry

• Hosting pop-up masterclasses & workshops featuring top industry professionals

This isn’t just a project—it’s a movement to make barber & beauty education more accessible while offering high-quality grooming services in a cutting-edge mobile space!

My passion will always be to grow the industry. This bus is more than a business—it’s a mission to create opportunities and inspire others to elevate their craft.

What Your Donation Supports
