Dear friends and supporters,

We are reaching out to help a beloved firefighter, Ricky Thompson, who was injured on July 26, 2024 in an off-duty accident when he was struck by a car. This tragic accident has left him with severe injuries that require multiple surgeries, extensive rehabilitation and an extended time at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Ricky has always been there for our community, showing a servants heart and selflessness. He has worked tirelessly as a Shift Captain/AEMT at Lee County Fire & Emergency Services for 19 years and as a Battalion Chief with Albany Fire Department for 24 years. Now, it's our turn to support him during this challenging time. The medical expenses are overwhelming and we want to help ease the financial burden.
