Support Ricky Morris's Recovery Journey

On Thursday, January 23rd, Ricky Morris was driving to work when he got in a car accident caused by a hypertensive stroke. He was taken in an ambulance to Dallas Regional Hospital, where the doctors immediately pushed him to be care-flighted to Medical City Plano. The doctors discovered in a CT scan there was mass bleeding in the brain, which is also known as a hematoma. They also found in an MRI a faint line underneath the hematoma, which they are still unsure of what it is or is causing it. Ricky has been in the stroke intensive care unit since Thursday afternoon. Currently, Ricky is recovering from craniotomy surgery, where they were surgically removing the mass and any possible dead tissue affecting his brain. The doctors sent blood from the area for testing to see if there are any cancer cells. Ricky has a long road ahead of him, as post recovery, he is going to be in a long-term rehabilitation facility to regain his strength, movement, and mobility for his left side.
Teresa Morris, Ricky’s wife, and family have been in the ICU since the accident. They are believers and believing God will provide a miracle, as He is the true surgeon and Creator who has Ricky’s life and wellbeing in His hands. Please pray for the family, as they have a long journey ahead, numerous medical bills and long-term rehab to be taken care of. Additionally, please pray for strength for Ricky, Teresa, the family, and staff as they navigate the next steps of this life-changing journey.
