Hi Familia! It is with great honor and humility that I am able to share this news with you all. As I write this, my eyes fill with with tears and my heart is overjoyed to announce that my Baby Bear, Ricky, is leaving us for college!

But not just any college, but to the home of the Lakers, Roosevelt University, in Chicago, Illinois on a FULL RIDE Athletic Scholarship majoring in Kinesiology. His goal is to become a licensed Sports Physical Therapist and/or become an NFL football player or coach.

This is such a monumental moment for Ricky! Despite Covid, despite the nay sayers, despite extremely poor living conditions, despite going to sleep without food in his belly, despite the constant doubt, and despite the debilitating sense of fear of failure and success, our Ricky is our first generation college graduate and our families rising athlete!

We are humbly coming to this platform to ask for your support! He leaves August 10, 2025 to begin his journey and is asking for contributions to assist with the things his scholarship doesn’t cover. Such as, his plane ticket, a storage unit (in December), haircuts, sports gear, cleats, school supplies, bedding, a small TV, and anything else he may need.

Any and every penny will definitely help Ricky in every way.
