On April 15th, Ricky was seriously injured in an incident involving a large vehicle which catastrophically damaged his left leg, ruptured his spleen, fractured his pelvis, broke multiple ribs, and bruised his lungs.

On May 19, he underwent a below the knee amputation as part of the treatment for his extensive injuries.

We want to help Ricky through this unbelievable situation by providing financial support that will allow him to comfortably navigate this unexpected next chapter.

Ricky is a beloved brother, husband, son, and submarine sailor who has served his country for 16 years. He loves hiking, gaming, music, soccer, and spending time with his friends. Ricky is still holding on to his sharp wit and hilarious personality during his recovery, and has made friends with the nursing staff and doctors in charge of his care.
