Hi everyone. Rick here! Really not quite sure what to say here but thx for visiting this page. On 7/11 around 4:50 Am I was riding my bike to work and had just turned onto El Camino from La Costa Ave. (I had my lights on and was in the bike lane) when a work van merged into me while they were trying to get into the turning lane for Gelson parking lot. He kept coming and never saw me. I lost control and hit the ground pretty hard. I broke my left elbow, and dislocated another bone which made the surgery more challenging. Got pretty banged up all over my left side as well… it could have been way worse and I consider myself lucky..needless to say I’m unfortunately gonna miss a pretty significant amount of time at work during our busiest stretch.
