Hi everyone,
My name is Rachel and I am creating this page on behalf of my dad, Rick.
In April, my dad hurt his ankle at work. After months of appointments and weekly physical therapy, we finally found out his ankle was dislocated and he would need immediate surgery. Unfortunately, my dad is a contractor and has no health insurance or workers compensation insurance. He is now undergoing a multi-stage treatment plan that includes more surgeries and approximately one-year of recovery time.
His first surgery stabilized his ankle. He has an external fixator and is completely unable to weight-bear for at least the next two months. When he gets the fixator off, he still may never be able to move his foot again. This leaves him confined to the house, unable to drive his semi truck for work for at least the next several months — and likely the rest of his life.
My parents never ask for help like this, but they desperately need it to pay for incoming medical expenses for at least the next year and would appreciate any financial assistance they can get. Above all else, please keep my family in your prayers as we try to navigate the uncertainty ahead.
