*8/26 update! Rick was discharged. The Frickers appreciate everything that you all did to support. Thank you for reaching out, offers to help, and donations.
Rick was involved in a golf cart accident at a charity golf tournament. He suffered multiple injuries, including dislocated shoulder, fractured ribs, and two unstable neck fractures requiring immediate spinal fusion surgery. Rick has a long recovery ahead and his family will appreciate any help.
Update - Rick was brought into the ED at 4:50pm August 23rd. He was transferred to the ICU around midnight. After 2 unsuccessful attempts to relocate his shoulder, doctors decided to try again during his spine surgery. Rick went into surgery at 8:00am 8/24.
*Update as of 1:30pm 8/24 - surgery went well. Cervical fusion from C2-C4. Shoulder is back in place. Rick is resting and will try to walk later tonight.
