My husband Rick has always been a dedicated tennis coach and court maintenance worker, helping kids and adults alike discover their love for the game. In October 2025, our lives changed when Rick was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Since then, he has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation at The City of Hope in Irvine, facing each treatment with courage and determination. The journey has been long and often painful, and Rick has had to give up his work due to the effects of his illness.
As a result, we have accumulated a large co-pay for his treatments, and the financial strain has become overwhelming, especially since we are both retired. Rick’s condition has made it difficult for him to eat regular food, and we are hopeful that the tumor in his esophagus will shrink so he can regain some normalcy in his life. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Rick’s past and future medical bills, as well as prescription costs, helping us manage the ongoing expenses and focus on his recovery.
I am so thankful that Rick is surviving this evasive cancer, and we are extremely grateful for any donation you are willing to give. Rick has spent his career helping others, and now we hope the community can help him in return. Your support means the world to us, and we appreciate every bit of kindness during this difficult time.
