Hi, my name is Linda, and I’m raising funds for my brother-in-law Ricki Barroso. He’s a proud man, and it’s hard for him to ask for help, so I’m asking for him. He suffered a major stroke on June 22. Since then, his life has changed dramatically. He’s been in and out of the hospital, facing serious complications that affect his speech, ability to eat requiring a feeding tube, mobility, and independence.

He’s currently dealing with:

• Unstable blood pressure

• Low hemoglobin levels (he may need a blood transfusion)

• Numbness and weakness on the right side of his body

• Difficulty standing or walking without a cane or walker

• Eating and drinking through a feeding tube

• Inability to work, and he was denied unemployment

• Out-of-pocket medical costs not covered by insurance

Despite everything he’s going through, his biggest concern is his daughter, who’s getting ready to go back to school. He worries about not being able to provide her with the supplies and support she needs right now.

This fundraiser will help cover:

• Medical bills and prescriptions

• Transportation to doctor visits

• Back-to-school supplies and clothes for his daughter

• Basic living expenses as he recovers

My brother-in-law has a long road ahead physically, emotionally, and financially, but with love, prayers, and support, we believe he can keep pushing forward.
