My name is Rick Porcelli. I live in Delray Beach, Florida. End of 2024 and into 2025 has been pretty tough for me. Call it bad luck, bad Ju Ju, not sure. All's I can say is I believe God said, "it's not your time". On November 11th I was cut off by a woman on her cell phone riding my 1974 classic BMW motor cycle that I spent 4 months restoring. She cut across 4 lanes of road just fast enough that I had maybe 1.5 seconds to react! I t-boned the drivers side door at 45-50 mph. She got the ticket and and I almost got killed. Spent 7 days in the trauma center. The hospital bill alone was $246.000. Thank god I had health insurance. My insurance covered most of it but there are still some outstanding medical bills. deductibles, coinsurance, copays, ambulance. Well I recuperated very well from that and went back to the gym and got in excellent shape.

Fast forward to May 10th. I was working under my 1970 classic VW. I was under the engine/transmission working on the exhaust headers when the car fell off the jack stands (there were to tires/wheels) on the car. It fell almost 2 feet strait down on top of my chest, ribs, stomach. My left arm was pinned behind my head. i had one arm free. I was pinned under the car for around 20 mins screaming for help. The car hit the ground so herd my sister heard it from inside the house!. She running out it a panic, but did not know how to work the floor jack. some neighbors came running but no ne could operate the jack. They called 911 but it would have been too late. I could feel the life leaving my body. Couldn't breath. Finally some kid driving by in an Uber Eats car come flying up the driveway grabs the jack and jacks up the car. Then all of a sudden after he got the car up about a foot' it fell off the jack back on top of me! Well to make a long story short. He finally jacked it up and i slid out. Any I suffered 4 hernias severely bruised (bent) ribs and a possible "silent heart attack" . I had surgery on May 23rd. I am recuperating very nicely. But I have missed a month of work. Not sure what the hospital bill is yet. My insurance will cover most of it. But I will still have considerable out of pocket costs. That is what I am trying to raise this money for. So if you can find it in your heart I would greatly appreciate you contributions. I would like to raise at least 10,000.
