Dear Friends, Family and Kind Supporters,
We’re reaching out to rally around our dear friend, Rick McGee, whose foot was amputated after an infection in 2020, a prothesis was fitted in 2021, and is now facing overwhelming medical expenses due to a recent severe fall and 2 neck surgeries in May and June, 2025. Complications from these surgeries have greatly reduced his mobility and the use of his hands and legs. As you may know, Rick is an internationally acclaimed musician. Locally he is best known for playing the huge Theatre Pipe Organ at Atlanta’s Fabulous Fox (2014-2022), the Music Grinder (1981), Ruby Red’s (1983-1984) and Excelsior Mill (1987), and the house organ for ATOS (2013-2023). These complications have currently rendered him unable to continue working as the pianist/organist for St. Andrew United Methodist Church (2009-2025) without intense rehabilitation and further medical treatments. Rick has always been a vibrant, caring and talented person who has faithfully been
present for his church and for others, and now he needs our support!
The costs for proper therapy, neurological care, rehabilitation, hospital stays,
medications and additional medical expenses are piling up, creating a heavy
burden. His insurance benefit days have reached their limit, and his stays now
require a hefty daily co-pay that he simply cannot afford to continue to pay. Your generous donation will go directly toward covering these expenses, giving Rick the chance to focus on healing without overwhelming financial stress. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you are unable to donate at this time, please share this campaign with others. Let’s come together and get the powerful word out to show Rick he is not alone in this fight!
Thank you for your kindness and support as well as your continued prayers.
With God’s blessings,
John Alford
