I am raising funds for the father of my 5 children and 2 grandchildren for his fight with cancer.

Rick Mata was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and colon/ liver cancer in 2021.

He has outlived the prognosis by over two years. He was able to attend Chris Bible school during his chemo treatments and graduated his 2nd year in 2023.

He was stationed at Ft. Campbell KY from 1994-1998.

He delivered mail for over 20 years, and very much enjoyed his job and customers.

He has VA benefits and good local medical care.

However, the VA doesn’t cover all the cost of his medication and transportation to appointments.

He is fighting the good fight ! His cancer is contained. He is going through radiation treatments at this time.

I am starting this Go Fund Me account to help him be able to keep up with out-of -pocket medical expenses. I feel that any anxiety about provision at this time could hinder his progress and quality of life.

He has wonderful kids that enjoy his company. The grand-baby especially loves her “ papa.”

He has one of the best attitudes I have ever seen for what he is going through. He stays positive and is able to encourage others.
