Support Rick Fetzer’s Final Fight Against Glioblastoma

Our dad, Rick Fetzer, has spent his life giving back—always the first to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or go out of his way to help friends, family, and even strangers. Now, in the most difficult chapter of his life, we’re asking for help to support him in return.

Rick has been battling terminal brain cancer (glioblastoma ) for over a year. This cruel and devastating disease has taken so much from him—his mobility, his independence, and many of the things he loved. Yet through it all, Rick has stood tall, showing incredible strength, courage, and grace. He continues to fight every single day, never giving in or giving up.

Sadly, we’ve entered the final stage of this painful journey. After countless hospital, rehab, and nursing home stays, our family has made the decision to bring Rick home—where he belongs, where he can be comfortable, and where he can be surrounded by love.

The financial burden has become overwhelming. Many of Rick’s medical expenses are not covered by Medicare, and the cost of hospice care, medications, and daily living needs continues to grow, placing immense stress on our family.

Rick’s devoted wife, Penny, has stepped away from her small business, Wiggles n Wags Pet Services, to care for him full-time. Her days are spent by his side, managing his care and ensuring he feels safe and loved.

His daughters and siblings have also stepped in to help, often taking time away from their own jobs and families. While we’re grateful to be able to support him, the emotional toll is heavy—and the financial impact is growing.
