Richie Rome and Lisa Dixon have always lived life with purpose, adventure and heart. On their totally off-the-grid, solar-powered farm in Portugal, they raise their own food, care for two sweet dogs, three beautiful cats, countless chickens and pigs, and tend a thriving garden. Their home is a place of hard work, self-sufficiency, and love—a true reflection of their spirit.

Recently, Richie was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is now facing a major surgery called the Whipple procedure. While their medical care in Portugal is covered, the hospital is over an hour away, and the travel back and forth will be a significant burden. On top of that, their farm requires constant attention, and Richie’s recovery will mean they need extra help to keep things running smoothly.
