Update: We hit 500$, which I wasn't expecting. Thank you so much to everyone who donated. I upped the limit just a touch because I had originally talked myself down to 500$ assuming that would take a lot longer to reach.
As I will always repeat though, a donation is nice, but your messages of support are nicer and all the support I really need. This is just to help ease some of the financial stress that comes with illness.
This feels incredibly weird to be making as this whole situation is still very surreal to me, but for those of you that I didn't get in contact with prior to this, I'm sorry you're finding out this way. Anyway, as the title says, I have cancer. I was diagnosed a little over a week ago and thankfully it's a type of cancer that has a high success rate when it comes to treatment.

While I'm not too concerned about any big costs, the price of gas and driving to and from doctors/hospitals that are an hour+ away will put a bit of a strain on my husband, Chad, during these next few months as I will be out of work for possibly all of December while I'm healing from surgery. I decided that at the very least, I would try to raise a bit of money to help cover a bit of that.
If you can't donate, please don't feel bad or stressed - things have been ridiculously tough on everyone and some of us just don't have the money to spare! I have had a couple people ask how they can help, however, and figured this would be the best way as we're not exactly local to many of you anymore.
If you want to reach out to me, don't be shy. If it wasn't so overwhelming, I would have messaged everyone individually with the news. Thank you all for taking the time to read this, even if all you can do is offer some words or a shoulder to lean on. I appreciate every little gesture.
