Support for Richard - A True Hero in Need After Tragic Fall

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, It is with a heavy heart that I am reaching out to ask for support for my husband Richard, who recently suffered a devastating fall from scaffolding while on a job site, resulting in serious injuries that will require extensive medical treatment, surgery, and a long recovery period. Rich has been a drywall taper and finisher for more than 30 years and has been said to be the best in the state of NH. While I may be bias on that, I hope that folks he has done work for will comment here how happy they have been with the work he did for them. He is self employed and therefore does not have any coverage through Worker’s Comp.

We were incredibly blessed that he was on a job site in an established neighborhood with cell service and that first responders were able to get to the scene of the accident in what felt like the longest 13 minutes of our collective lives.

His injuries are extensive. Broken jaws and significant loss of teeth on both upper and lower jaws. His jaw is wired shut with some sort of bionic elastics in place of actual wire and is incredibly painful! He broke his left leg, right arm, suffered fractures to both sides of his pelvis and if that wasn’t enough, he also broke his tailbone. We know how lucky we are that he is alive and not paralyzed. We know how bad it could have been.

Rich is someone who has always put others first. He has dedicated his life to helping those in need—whether it was lending a hand to friends and family, volunteering in the community to support a cause, or simply being a source of support to anyone who needed it. His generosity, kind spirit, and selflessness have touched so many lives, and now he needs some help. He’s the guy who is doing a remodel on someone’s home and helps the homeowner carry in groceries. He’s that guy. He’s the favorite Uncle, and he is loved because he is loving.

Rich has always provided for our family and done everything he can to make a difference in the lives of others. Unfortunately, due to the severity of his injuries, he is unable to work and faces significant medical expenses, as well as the challenge of adapting to a long road to recovery.

We are humbly asking for your donations to help cover medical costs, rehabilitation, and other financial burdens that have resulted from this accident. No amount is too small, and every dollar will go directly to helping him heal and get back on his feet.

If you know Rich, you know how great he is. I am asking the universe to consider all the good Karma he has sent out over his life and to consider giving back and show him the same love and support he has always shown others.
