On March 4th, Richard was out cutting firewood and stopped by my house. As soon as he got out of his truck, he began feeling lightheaded, nauseous, and started having chest pain. Moments later, he collapsed in my driveway. I immediately called 911, and we rushed him to the hospital. The doctors performed an EKG and discovered he was having a heart attack. They found his right artery was 100% blocked and his left was 70% blocked. Richard received two stents on the right side, and we have an appointment soon to schedule surgery for the left side.
Richard is an amazing man who has always gone out of his way to help others in our community. Now, he is unable to work and has no way to pay his bills or cover the costs of traveling for his surgery, which is four and a half hours away from home. He has worked at the same job for 26 years, and the funds raised will help him pay his mortgage, electric and water bills, insurance on his vehicles, and cover travel, food, and lodging expenses for his upcoming surgery.
Thank you to anyone who donates to Richard. He is a very caring person who is always there to help someone in need, often giving from what he needs to help others. Any amount is not too small and will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot afford to help with a donation at this time, please share his story and keep him in your prayers during this difficult time. We are hoping for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery, as Richard is already eager to get back to work.
