Support Richard's Heart Recovery Journey

On Saturday, May 24, my son (Richard Licko) had a heart attack at home. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery to place 4 stints in 2 completely blocked arteries. He spent 5 days in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) before being released to a regular bed on the cardiac floor to undergo further tests. As of now, the doctors have not determined when he will be released. Our family appreciates everyone's prayers for his recovery, we know it will be a long road to recover.

The extensive medical bills will be overwhelming to the family in addition to the monthly household expenses that will continue. If anyone reading this has experienced a similar medical emergency, they know the extent of stress that comes with financial pressure and that cardiac conditions are intensified by stress. His family has been traveling 100 miles round trip to Huntsville Hospital to be with him, sometimes multiple times a day.

This unexpected emergency has placed him and his wife (Gina) out of work for the unforeseeable future. They both have limited vacation time to cover medical and household expenses.
