Support Richard's Farm Recovery After Hurricane
Donation protected
This is a fundraiser for Richard Bohannon whose farm in Bakersville, NC was hit very hard by Hurricane Helene. The barn roof was partially ripped off, interior fencing mangled. Fortunately, no perimeter fencing was affected and alpacas were not injured. The house, camper and fencing have been hit by large trees. Trees down everywhere on the property. No electric or cell service. Just a generator for limited electric. He has to drive to Tennessee in order to get internet/cell service. His two grooming businesses, with 10 employees, are in Asheville and the city doesn't have water or power. Asheville city indicates it may be weeks before all water is restored to some of Asheville. Richard who owns Knolveston Farm is a member of the Alpaca Owner's Association and the Suri Network, and raises champion Suri Alpacas. He also owns Aery Poodles known for champion Miniature Poodles. He needs to continue to care for his animals as well as make extensive repairs to the property, and get his business back up and running which is his main source of income.
I am a friend of Richard's in the alpaca community, and my alpaca farm is in Kentucky. Please donate what you can to help. All contributions from this fundraiser go directly to Richard.
