Richard’s journey has been filled with both hope and hardship. In January 2024, he was diagnosed with Stage II Gleason 7 (4+3) Prostatic Adenocarcinoma. After months of uncertainty and worry, he underwent a prostatectomy with bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection in May 2024. The surgery was a success, and for a while, we celebrated his recovery and the hope that the cancer was behind him.
Unfortunately, in October 2025, Richard’s routine checkup revealed elevated PSA levels, signaling that the cancer had returned. He has just begun salvage androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) combined with radiation therapy—a treatment plan that will last six months. The side effects, including fatigue, incontinence, and rectal urgency, have made it much more difficult for Richard to work and manage daily tasks. This has placed a significant financial strain on him, as he faces mounting medical bills, high deductibles, and the challenge of covering daily living expenses while focusing on his health.
Richard is the kindest human being I know. He is always available for those lucky enough to have him in their lives—never with malice, always with a kind heart, and willing to go above and beyond for anyone he knows. Your support would mean the world to Richard and our family during this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease his burden and allow him to focus on healing. Thank you for considering helping Richard on his journey.
