Tides of Life: A film about Uruguay's leading animal rescuer

As a documentary filmmaker, I love focusing on stories that highlight people and places making a positive impact. Recently, I shifted my attention to environmental conservation, which led me to pursue a master’s in Wildlife Filmmaking in Bristol, England, the hub for natural history programming like Planet Earth and anything with David Attenborough's voice on it.
My master's thesis film follows Richard Tesore, who runs Uruguay’s first rescue center for marine mammals, S.O.S Rescate de Fauna Marina. His passion for rehabilitating sea lions, penguins, and turtles while raising environmental awareness is truly inspiring. However, his work faces challenges, including threats from real estate developers aiming to shut him down. This film highlights Richard’s incredible 30 years of work and seeks to inspire ongoing support for his efforts in the years to come.
This is my first crowdfunding campaign, and while asking for support is hard, this project is close to my heart. Funds will cover travel, equipment, post-production, festivals, screenings and distribution. Your support will also help Richard continue his vital work.
I'm happy to share the trailer with you and can’t wait to share the full film next year!
