Friends, family, kind-hearted strangers, this fundraiser is for my brother, Richard Washlick. You may know him as Rick, Dick, or Whiskey. A devoted father, husband, and proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Rick has found himself at only 49 years old in a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

As one can, or cannot, imagine, this diagnosis has and will bring immense challenges to his life and the lives of his loved ones. Rick has always been the loudest and funniest in the room, while also being the rock for his family, providing stability, support, and laughter in every moment.

This past July, Rick underwent not just an intensive Whipple procedure, but six other procedures as well. His journey ahead will be difficult. Looking at 9 months of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, Rick will be out of work and fighting the costs that also come with cancer. That said, let's commit to supporting him in every way we can. We all want Rick to have access to the best possible care and to ease the strain on his wife and family.
