Support Richard Russell: WWII Hero's Care
Donation protected
We are raising funds for Richard Russell, a 102 year old World War II Marine Corps veteran. Russell fought in the Battle of Guadalcanal and turned 20 years old while fighting on the island. He is a purple heart recipient and to this day lives with shrapnel in his left leg from being shot in battle.
Richard lost his wife of over 75 years a few years back and having mobility issues due to a previous stroke, finally moved to assisted living this year. His children immediately applied for VA assistance to help with costs. After more than 6 months he is still waiting to even get a case number and his funds are rapidly dwindling.
Unfortunately this week brought another issue- he fell and now has a T7 bone fracture (his back is broken). The doctors will not operate on him due to his advanced age and stroke history but this means once he is released from the hospital he will need even more skilled nursing care, rehab, etc. Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser for an American hero. Thank you.
