My son-in-law, Richard Pelton, has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer. He is currently going through 8-10 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, which requires him to travel from Victorville to the City of Hope in Duarte, CA for treatment five days a week. This journey is not only physically demanding for Richard, but it is also creating a significant financial burden for his family. Richard’s wife, Amber, and their three daughters—Mikayla, Kaitlyn, and Skylar—are doing their best to support him, but the costs are quickly adding up.

Richard has always been a caring husband and father, working hard to provide for his family. Unfortunately, Amber has her own physical challenges and has been unable to work, so the family has been surviving on Richard’s income alone. Now, with Richard unable to work during his treatment, they are struggling to cover both everyday expenses and the extra costs that come with his illness. While we are able to help with some of their needs, the reality is that they need more support than we can provide on our own.

The funds raised will go directly toward travel expenses for Richard’s daily treatments and to help cover medical bills that insurance does not pay for.
