It is with the saddest and heaviest broken heart that we mourn over a once-in-a-lifetime, extremely special man that absolutely nobody was ready to lose. We now say goodbye to a beloved husband, dedicated and cherished father, loving brother, cousin, grandfather, uncle, nephew, friend, partner, or just an associate, coworker, or one-time passerby. My pops, Richard Lloyd Brown, or Rick brown to most, has passed away to take the journey into the heavens to reunite with my mother, his one true love, and our Heavenly Father.

It is unfortunate for this earth to lose such a bright light. The world is a much colder and darker place without his smile, laughter, guidance, and love. It has been a very hard and difficult path that we have traveled down the last few years. He has been in and out of over eight hospitals, ICU, and CCU unit floors and rooms just in the last 11 months alone, where he has fought pneumonia, COVID, mild heart attacks, strokes, the RSV disease, amongst many more battles, to be at home where his family living life to the fullest on his terms. We almost lost him so many times, including a 60-day stay in a hospital ICU unit 2 years ago, where the doctors and nurses had to face that his children did not want to let him go and he still wanted to fight, to live, and after a tough 68-day struggle for his life in intensive care and then rehabilitation, coming home to be with his children, family, and all of you as friends and associates was where he wanted to be and would not be denied life in a world where he lived so blessed. All of us should be even more blessed by his presence and his beautiful life. Whether you knew him once or every day of his life, you knew that he was special. He lived with complete and unwavering love for everyone he cared for, he helped every one of our lives in one way or another, and that's what he did. I watched this marvelous man fulfill goal after goal and checked off the few remaining items off his and my mother's bucket list to include living in big bear at the end in perfect style and grace. Laughing all the way even just hours before falling asleep for the last time peacefully. His big heavy laugh could be heard everywhere we went.i watched this man play in the snow just this past winter and refused to do anything but walk with his shoulders back and head held high even when a walker was nessasary. He constantly was showing me and everyone around us that life was indeed beautiful and fun and positivity could be found in everything, everywhere!

I was astonished by his energy and his devotion. He set time aside to go geocashing ( adult treasure hunting) , as i watched him playing a game of corn hole with Megan just a few days ago I was in awe of the two who put all the hard bad and ugly things to rest and just have fun. I will always revere my pops for living a life he wanted to and not settle for what life held from, he made his life good and one worth envying by living it on his terms and making everything feel safe, and as if it would always work out.Family was of the most important thing to have from myself and my brothers and sister to his son in law Max, his daughter in-laws Tabby, Jessica, Ashley, and his adopted children so to speak Ivan and Megan who truly ment the world to him and me. He tool great pride and pleasure in playing with his grandchildren when he could I can still hear his whistle from down the way telling us all its time to come home. And now he has started his new journey to his new home and will guarantee take all the joy and positivity he had with him and enjoy the next stage of his beautiful life. I love you pops thank you for showing me that we can all make the best of what we are given, be proud of who we are and what we have because it's OURS and thers always going to be a silver lining and a way to win out the day when we believe.

Please, if you can, we desperately need some help from each and every one of you. If you can possibly find it inside your hearts to help us, we would be so grateful. Due to the unfortunate events I have explained, the medical treatments needed, ambulance rides, medication, and this unforeseen and tragic loss, we find ourselves struggling and drowning with not only keeping the bills paid, but now we have the mortuary and funeral costs for both the removal of my father, preparation for my father's next journey, and the burial to the celebration of life we have with the funeral home costs. We were unaware of so many things to do and that they were so expensive. I don't ever ask for nor have I ever asked for help, and I don't ask it easily now, but without your help, embarrassed and ashamed, I won't be able to provide him with the well-deserved send-off. Every dollar that you give will help us give thos GREATgiant of a man the oroper send off he deserves, as we all know everyone needs help, and we have so much to do and so little time to do it. There's no way I can manage to complete it without your help.

Thank you, and may you and your family be forever in His grace and blessings.
