I am Richard Culbreth and am a self-published author of my book Mother Goose by Thomas Gordon. I use the name Thomas Gordon as my pen name in honor of my ancestor's sacrifice. Thomas Gordon is my ancestor who fought in the Revolutionary War. As a citizen farmer in Virginia when the Revolutionary War broke out, he joined the 16th Virginia Continental Regiment, and he participated in the battles of Brandywine and Germantown. He survived the winter of 1777-1778 at Valley Forge and survived torture by the British as a Prisoner of War.
I copyrighted and published Mother Goose by Thomas Gordon on Amazon last summer (2024), funding the expenses myself. Mother Goose is the first book in my series Woman in the Moon. I have written and copyrighted the second book, Unto the Breach, and need funding for editing and proofreading purposes, as well as hiring a graphic artist to create the cover. The costs for editing and proofreading are substantial, as Unto the Breach is over 90,000 words.
I create character-driven stories which reflect the period and places they take place. My goal is to complete my series, Woman in the Moon, with the assistance of very appreciated donations and proceeds from the sales of Mother Goose and Unto the Breach by Thomas Gordon.
Thank you very much.
Richard Culbreth
